Spurs Over The Summer (Internationals)

His contract expires on January 1st.
The Russian league used to be out of sync with the major European leagues, but they shifted it in the season before last.
Anyone that was signed before that has a contract that expires in the middle of the season, which is pretty inconvenient.
He's already told CSKA that he isn't going to extend his deal, by all accounts, which should mean that he's available pretty cheaply.

 

Blimey, didn't know that either. Not bad a guy to learn from, great centre half in his day in my opinion.

 

Surely he's a no-brainer then, on commercial benefits alone.

Thought he had a pretty good game yesterday. Japan's quick passing game was too much for the Italians and he was involved in a lot of it.
They'll be in real trouble if/when they meet Spain, going by that.

 

Could probably get him for a Holtby-esque fee then if we became interested. Whenever I've seen Honda he's always looked decent.

 

Also that Neymar bloke looked pretty handy yesterday - scored one goal, but his assist was something else.

I got accosted by two over excited Singaporeans when I tried to cross a busy road because they saw my Spurs shirt. Nice to know people support the same club as you, not so nice to be killed by an oncoming lorry over it.

I sincerely hope they don't take offence to some of his colourful language, cultural differences are a difficult thing
