I wasn't up for us signing Barton in the first place.
We have an overcrowded midfield as it is, so it wouldn't really help adding someone else. Especially someone with his track record...

Anyway, talksport are reporting that we've pulled out of the race to try to sign him and instead are going for Chris Samba and Lassana Diarra.

    Thoughts?

    We don't.
But he's one of 'Arry's favorites. So he thinks we do.

    Diarra's a very good player.
If we're shipping out players like Palacios, Jenas and the already departed O'Hara, then he'd be a good signing, though I'd wonder about how this might affect Sandro's place in the side.
