I wasn't up for us signing Barton in the first place. We have an overcrowded midfield as it is, so it wouldn't really help adding someone else. Especially someone with his track record... Diarra's a very good player. If we're shipping out players like Palacios, Jenas and the already departed O'Hara, then he'd be a good signing, though I'd wonder about how this might affect Sandro's place in the side.
