Getting my haircut this week , my barber shares my taste in music and this song was playing, " what's this I said " you should know you gave me a copy of the CD .........getting old
I may have to lose my current hairstyle... My former source of income significantly dried up when people started working from home and it hasn't returned in anything like the same amount since. So, with inflation and Mrs B having to put off her retirement (against her strong wishes), I'm having to go back to work, which involves looking less like I spit at random women at bus stops...(One accused me of doing so yesterday!) Onto more musical and pleasing issues...this was the running order at last night's opening Wingmen gig... please log in to view this image Anyone else thinking of going to the Islington gig on Saturday (tickets still available)...let me know.
RIP David Crosby A true giant of popular music, despite being one of the most objectionable, mysoginist, hateful people on the planet!
There was a documentary on Sky Arts a few weeks ago, made fairly recently, and even he suggested that he was impossible to deal with.
RIP Croz It's been a long time coming, gonna be a long time gone The man was a complete nut job but what a voice
Or perhaps a fair proportion of those traits were key to the music he actually produced (which is why those with intelligence are able to objectively assess one without needing to mention the other) ...
I recieved an overdue birthday gift today via Amazon , by co incidence it was the David Crosby's last album , I hesitated to buy the album until I had listened to it on line but my Bil got it for me anyway and it was ordered before Crosby's passing , unfortunately Amazon decided to let a Tasmanian devil do the packaging and delivery , the cover was ceased and torn and it looked like they tried to force it through the letterbox which is a 1/4 the size of the package Before returning it I gave it a listen and was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the song writing and with Crosby's voice who must have been 80 at the time of writing , the album was also warped which must have happened when Taz tried to fold it in half to get it through the letterbox
A school mate was a postie for years. He specialised in dropping packages marked 'fragile' but could turn his hand to bending envelopes marked 'Do Not Bend' if it was needed.
under rated song in my opinion the first song that pointed towards the Style Council and the end of the band - but some of the lyrics really do sum up my thoughts about Spurs right now I lost some hours thinking of it I need the strength to go and get what I want I lost a lifetime thinking of it An' lost an era daydreaming like I do
