Everyone's seen the sort of stuff that I post on here.
What does Youtube recommend for me? Minimalist, 80s, French synthpop! <laugh>
**** hasn't even bothered plugging in his keyboard, FFS.

I would have killed for a "Chopper" until the day I rode one and left most of my ball bag on the gear shifter, after a long recovery and walking like John Wayne for weeks I decided that a road bike was my favourite bike

    1. The "Are sounds electrik" channel is highly regarded by synth lovers.
Perhaps the youtube recommenders have correlated a no6606
association between this article, you, and my musical tastes.

    2. I will give you some French synth that is more modern ...

Pulling PNP further towards the true religions
(I could put this one in both "No wave" and Electro sets with ease) ...

Was this taken from a Commodore 64 game?
Maybe it's all infiltrating my recommendations via random goth music?

A Polish band on Manic Depression Records! <laugh>

"Are sounds electrik" does not have this one) ...

Turn the sound off and watch Ellie. She's rather lovely.

Bicycles were invented to cause damage to one's undercarriage. From age 11, I had a 27" wheel racing bike, with a racing saddle that was harder than diamond. It took months before I didn't feel sore in my vulnerables!

I stopped bike riding when I was 16 and didn't ride a bike again until I was 27 and needed to get somewhere 7 miles away on Christmas Day. I borrowed my kid brother's bike....Ohhhh the pain the next day!

I once cycled from Watford to Wembley arena to see Santana and home again because I had spent all my money on the ticket, worth every penny, it was the Caravanserai tour, it still remains one of my favourite gigs of all time despite being at Wembley.
Might add that someone stole my pump off the bike <laugh>

Joe Lycett's protest no doubt raised awareness for the cause but it came over to me as a bit Poundland KLF

The Damned's dates for their UK leg of a world tour are out....and it's the usual mixed bag of good and bad...and very unusual for being 6 months before Halloween.

First the good. The final gig is in London...as it should be for a London band. It's at Ally Pally, which is a different venue that offers possibilities for something more ambitious than other smaller venues and there are 15 dates spread across the UK (Norn' Ireland excepted).

The bad...the London gig's on a Thursday night, in a venue that's ****ing miles away from where we live and not the easiest to get to and from. They must have got it cheap on a week night! There are gigs at Brighton and Southampton, but they're on the Monday and Tuesday of the week of the London gig...another couple of school nights and a grouping that's not great for the hearing. We'll definitely make Southampton, as our youngest is at Uni there...but Brighton is a good place to see the boys - Captain and Monty live there and it's a second 'home venue'.

The wild card is the second gig in Southend at the Cliffs Pavillion, which, praise be, is on a Saturday night. It's been a long time since I've been to Southend, so it's a definite possible, as a mate of mine, from many years ago, used to say.

Support are The Nightingales. I watched the Stuart Lee film,'King Rocker' about them, which is too long at about 2 hours but has its moments. It was on Amazon Prime.

I played a record the other day in the living room. The TV was turned off. When later that evening I turned it on You Tube was showing the piece I had played earlier suggested for me. Is it really listening to you when switched off or was it just a coincidence?

It really has been a flurry of Damned activity...and probably not before time I hear most of you say...<laugh>

Following on from the launch of the 'Night Of A Thousand Vampires' album and DVD, we've had the fabulous reunion shows (with another DVD to come of Manchester), the tour in April and now, news of the new album...

...which seems to be titled 'A Damned New World' and appears to properly feature all of the members of the band, unlike the last one. I'm properly excited for this one, as they have the line up to produce something really special. Fingers crossed that it lives up to that hope...

It swings a bit less than I was expecting. More of a shuffle...but very pleasant.
