Just caught up with the recording of David Byrne's American Utopia, worth a watch if you like Talking heads or Byrne
Plans for today foiled and Mrs Conn off to some prosecco fuelled event gave me time to dig out some vynyl,
I'm sure Johnson and his Eton dorm chums will be passing round the digestives and readers wives tonight Robert or fred who knows
Ronnie Spector sang backing vocals on these cod-Ramones numbers from The Misfits.... ...and this produced by Joy Ramone... ...which could wellbe a Ramones number, played at twice the speed. Anyway, she was a real talent and seems to have been loved by lots of other artists, which always says a lot more than anything else to me. RIP.
My Dads brother was a lover of this early pop and I remember an LP by them was a favourite at his house on party nights , it was an early best of " the fabulous Ronetts featuring Veronica " whoever she was , walking in the rain was a favourite of mine
The song is from the Ramones' last studio album Adios Amigos! The Ronettes were the best girl group ever. Every song sounds like the Ramones played at 33 instead of 45, but Joey did love that music
