Although 34 years old, this has just appeared on Youtube... A really good interview with Rat and Dave, showing the other side of the boys. It has to be said that the absence of Captain always helps...when charged up, he can be a veritable pain in the arse. Whereas, away from the camera, he's a complete sweetie.
The Friday night food of the gods in our house, my mum worked Friday nights and the old man wouldn't go to the chippy so it was that or egg and chips

The latest from The Damned Show. It's a really interesting bit from Paul about him writing 'Generals' from the 'Strawberries' album and how he recorded the original demo on a 4 track home studio with a bloke who also lived in Wales, called Roman (later to join as keyboard player and subsequently replace Captain on guitar) A really interesting piece with a very sweet and talented guy.
Since I keep seeing a sponsored ad plugging Bush's new album on Facebook, here's a few barely-remembered 90s Brit bands that I'd rather have showing up on my FB feed...
I once saw Terrorvision at a supposedly secret gig at a Camden Palace club night. There must've been about 10 people there that didn't know they were playing. Decent live act, judging by that performance. I'd have picked Therapy? for that list, though: Troublegum was a superb album.
Those ChinniChap singles were my introduction into music as a buyer of records, alongside Slade, Glitter, T Rex, etc. As Captain said, our parents were disgusted by them, which made us love them even more. A particular favourite... RIP
Same as me brian some great music around then,I wonder whatever happened to the band hello from the same era my minds gone blank, must be my age
System Of A Down's singer Serj Tankian has questioned fans who have asked the band to stick to music and avoid politics. I'm not sure what the **** these people thought they were listening to down the years, to be honest: "Minor drug offenders fill your prisons, you don't even flinch. All our taxes paying for your wars against the new non-rich." "Utilising drugs to pay for secret wars around the world. Drugs are now your global policy, you now police the globe." It's not exactly subtle, is it? Reminiscent of Paul Ryan saying that he liked Rage Against the Machine...
My mate, Al, married a much younger woman. She has no idea about music from the 70's and 80's and whenever we talk about music, she asks something like... "Is that one of those bands with some sort of message in the lyrics?" He assures me that the sex makes up for it. I tried that with Mrs B Mk II......it didn't work.
