When did the Curious brewery open? Last time I was in Ashford they were still building the Brewery. Something to look forward to next Saturday. Do they do a hoppy tasting bitter like Spitfire or Harveys Best?
For discerning gentlemen of a certain age, this delight is just under 4 weeks away... please log in to view this image ...under £25 a ticket......you know you want to.....and seeing the gig could be good too?
1st of April, you say?......................"White Rabbit" says Dave...........Well, actually he only says "Rabbits" and then separately "White". The phrase "White Rabbit" doesn't feature at all.....I guess it's a short song and Grace Slick didn't think that she could fit it in. Still, enjoy the boys on top form...
40 years ago, and an LP that changed everything, was released. And as so often happened in the genre, the result of circumstance aligning. A man goes into a recording studio with the label/personal remit of recording a Punk album. Inside there, he sees a Minimoog against the wall, waiting to be returned to its owner. The rest is history (Johnny 1976 and the "year zeros" - walk away now) ... I assume this was never originally released in the day due to the track length and the inferior track compilation process dictated by vinyl :
Wow! I'd forgotten what a powerful number that was. More relevant today than when they wrote it, too! Haven't heard them play it in years. Checked on Youtube - I saw them play it 3 years ago! My ****ing memory! Great stuff!
Some of the rough mixes off the 40th anniversary albums released over the past couple of years are amazing
Have seen posts on both Twitter and Facebook stating that the Game of Thrones theme is the greatest ever - I love theme music and here are some that I think are better (mock the week - in case you don't know!)
From my childhood... ....Art of Noise covered RC and Sophisticated Boom Boom did White Horses. The Flashing Blade would make a great cover.
My Childhood too, brilliant memories - loved the Aeronauts but had forgotten all about it (if that makes sense) , I am sure I still have an annual somewhere in the loft from 1972!
