    Loadsa music coming out all the time that is IMHO of "significance" .

    Your failing appears to be that you equate "units sold" by an artist
    as a measure of significance, or how often / where they gig.

    Seismic genres in music (and a band that epitomises it) becomes ever
    more difficult as more and more stuff already has been "invented" .

    Part Jesus and Mary Chain, part Sonic Youth, part Ramones, part Rolling Stones, part Black Sabbath.
    One of those bands whose influences jump,out at you when listen to them.
    One of the better late '80s bands.

    I dont mind some of the stylistics songs some bring back memories from years ago dare I say courting the Mrs I guess you youngsters won't know what courting is but us oldens are more street wise than you <laugh>.we were soppy old feckers then I'm 58 now and met the Mrs first time around when I was 15 got married at 19 and have suffered ever since ...but she's a diamond and wouldn't swap her for the world she knows spurs come first and she can have what's left bless her .

    Yes and no. He left and then started The New Stylistics in 2004, who were still gigging as of a couple of months ago.
