Mary Shelley's 'Frankenstein' is 200 years old today, having been first printed on 1 January 1818.....So, in honour, some Gothic/Horror inspired classics........You know who by.... Plus a free commemorative Franken-Damned T Shirt.........lovely.
Now that you've all finished turkey sandwiches, turkey curry, turkey soup.......time for the 'Turkey Song'........and that's enough of that.
'Drinkin' About My Baby' performed live on TV. Let chaos reign...... The Captain is a big real ale drinker. The last time I chatted to him, was in Blackpool and he spent most of the conversation slagging off the beer on offer. Pleasingly, for The Changing Man, when he's in town, he drinks in a Shepherd Neame pub on the outskirts of Croydon. Cheers.
The BBC are reporting that Radiohead's lawyers have turned down Lana Del Ray's offer of 40% of the royalties for copyright infringement of 'Creep'. If you have a listen, all becomes apparent..... There's also an element of 'third party ownership' as Radiohead nicked the chord progression from 'The Air That I Breathe' and pay a healthy percentage as a result. So, who nicked what from who.......................................? The Clash may have nicked the intro for this from The Who?..............Stop thief?
1. How long have you got to live ?? Whether by accident or by design, there is a lot of music out there that is going to at least be similar to another. 2. It would be extremely bad luck for somebody to have a global smash hit and then find it infringes on Autechres' Flutter.
