You can miss days if you have to and make them up later - outside Ramadan. I read somewhere that Salah had been given special dispensation to do that by an islamic cleric in Cairo. If they manage it right they should be able to deal with it.

Friday only means one thing...pub lunch! Probably going to opt for a mixed grill today with a pint of Peroni and a hot chocolate fudge cake pudding :)

I don't get this Peroni sudden liking by the British. Just goes to show the power of marketing. I've always thought of it as a cheap italian bottled beer, that you had when in Rome. Yet now, someone markets it on draft and charges well over the odds, by that i mean more than a euro, which used to be the true cost in a non tourist area.

    Same here, mate.

San Miguel is just any old beer over here. I know one bar where it’s €2 pint.

Mahou or Estrella are much better beers, imo.

Exactly, i was going to list other examples but you did it perfectly. Still same shhite (tongue in cheek) in the bottle (or glass) just marketed differently.

I agree to a point, it's not a bad beer but nothing special and certainly not worth the silly price it goes for in some pubs.

I quite like the Spanish San Miguel but yes I'd pick the other 2 first. We don't get proper San Miguel over here we get some ****e brewed in Northampton that's called San Miguel.

The draft over here is pokey stuff - 5.6%

I just prefer the taste of Mahou, especially the red label. Same strength, far deeper, more complex flavour.

It's a fiver a pint in some of the bars down here, and we're generally nowhere near as expensive as London.

I like it, but I aint paying a fiver a pint. I'd rather have a Stella or a Kronny for £3.70

Mate, try and keep up. This ****'s been going on since bathtub gin manufacturers put a Beefeater on the bottle and doubled sales to America overnight.

A bar owner told me in the 80's that he could charge twice as much for Grolsch as any other bottled beer because youngsters liked playing with the cool looking detachable bottle tops.

I'm guessing you still drink Double Diamond down the British Legion?
