Then you can **** that off for eleven months a year. Good plan.

I’d fast and repent for my sins on Yom Kippur but it’s boring and I’ll be hungry.

Bossman offered me a date in a taxi last night which was nice of him.

My Mrs is still fasting today in UK. I had an outbreak of Shingles within three days of getting back to UK so had to give up the fasting. Still trying to shake it off - great holiday this is.

I've read that shingles was an issue in the UK this year.

Didn't realise you could get vaccinated against it. Would advise anyone to do it - its nasty. Apparently it's a flare-up of the chicken-pox virus in people who have had it years before and tends to occur more in elderly people (****-off!). I had it within 3 days of arriving back so suspect I was just weak after fasting and then long flight, which caused it to flare up.

Seems to be clearing up now but still weak and the puss-infected blisters are still there which means I am missing out on the Newcastle-Spurs game this weekend. As its on my head the puss has just formed this mat in my hair that I will have days of fun picking out.

    Puss infected blisters? <yikes>

Sounds a bit medieval, that. Sure you haven't got leprosy?

It starts of as series of pimples which grow and then burst. Mine got infected. Definitely not leprosy - nothing has dropped off yet. Apparently there is a 50% chance of getting shingles in your lifetime and you are more prone to it the older you are.
