Rugby players are no angels but they do respect the ref by and large. A different culture I guess. They aren't entitled multi millionaires either.
I don’t follow rugby but I think that’s proper grilled into them from a young age at grassroots as well that referee decision is final and that’s it.
There needs to be the same respect shown in football now and it’ll slowly work it’s way up the ladder.
But I don’t buy into this fact that swearing is the issue. They can put delays on that kind of stuff to bleep out any language. Can make it a standard rule that anyone talking to the referee while a var check is on going (unless ref speaks to them) it’s an Auto yellow. It will soon stop.
Like kicking the ball away now. Players do it but will slowly stop.
How often do players take tops off while celebrating now compared to before? Odd one still does it but players aren’t that stupid. They’ll soon learn
