You had 2 players sent off when was last time that happened? I think that’s why you lost lack of discipline
Neither should have been, but that's irrelevant to the fact that you couldn't carve out a single worthwhile chance against nine men and just got lucky. Quite dismal really.
Spurs ran out of ideas against your 9 men Wouldn't have beat you but for Matip And the VAR ****ery of course
very difficult when you had 9 men behind the ball and no one up front that’s how you kept us out for so long you paid the price for your negative tactics eventually though
You had two more men on the pitch and still none of them could score Needed some ****ery from Matip And the bent ref Gifted 3 pts today really
You two want to take your lovers tiff back to the prem board? Don’t wanna be third wheeling over here
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/index.html Hahahah!! They're making this up as desperately as they go along. Truth is, they'd have tried to get away with putting out a different screenshot with wonky lines on it as they did a few seasons ago with the Bobby 'armpit' goal at Villa had it not been for how that was forensically torn apart - not least by Bein - when they compared it to the original 'offside' image they showed. They're simply corrupt. I'm not having the 'whoops, we made a booby' dogshit - this wasn't a ****-up, it was a stitch-up, and they got caught.
All true though Made hard work of situation gifted to you and needed a lucky last gasp OG to win I'd be ****in lapping it up if it was my team of course
So as a side by side comparison. Our results against corresponding fixtures aren’t too dissimilar. 16/21 this season. 14/21 last season but was a loss away to wolves and draw home to villa that were big issues. 3 away games against Chelsea spurs newcastle who you’d think will be challenging for top 4, plus a wolves team that beat city. 7/12 points isn’t too bad. 9/9 at home though. Make Anfield a proper fortress and we have all our rivals to come to Anfield second half of the season. 23/24 season 22/23 season comparison Chelsea v lfc 1-1 0-0 lfc v Bournemouth 3-1 9-0 Newcastle v lfc 1-2 0-2 Lfc v villa 3-0 1-1 Wolves v lfc 1-3 3-0 Lfc v West Ham 3-1 1-0 Spurs v lfc 2-1 1-2
If the roles had been reversed I'd have said I'm chuffed, but we didn't play well and got out of jail. But I suppose when your team hasn't been relevant since Jimmy Greaves left you just have to make the most of the few crumbs you get thrown.
Clearly. However, I'm grateful to him for giving me something to laugh at after such a frustrating time. We usually have to rely on @Diego for that.
Didnt wolves have the same thing happen to them against you a couple of season ago at Anfield? Was that a conspiracy too? Asking for a friend. On the serious side VAR was rancid for the offside and we were lucky with that and the og. The first red was a red imho ... not intentional but went over the ball and caught him with his studs. The first yellow for jota was wrong but that often happens...but he was a moron. Ive said it when our players have done but he was simply stupid to do that 90 seconds later. As for Madison being in the refs ear you have had Henderson, Mane, Salah etc doing that for years. I'm glad were being a bit ****ty its about time instead of caving in to pressure. We got lucky today but I'll live with it. We will hit a rough patch cos we are only 7 games into a huge rebuild and total change of football philosophy but at least we're enjoying watching us after 4 yrs of turgid ****e. Enjoy whats left of your weekend
