Perhaps Dom can enlighten us on how much the stadium costs? My guess is he'll get it wrong.

It’s a ****ing fiasco. And I can’t help thinking that the club hasn’t been honest about this.

Some papers are now suggesting it could be Xmas before the stadium is ready.

Definitely more honest in the lower leagues. Prem has become more theatre than sport imo.

I can tell you that, it was projected at £450 m but now in excess of 1 billion and 5-6 months behind schedule.

I honestly believe if it's going to be that long you should be told to wait until next season. Half and half would be fully taking the piss.

They are accessible. When did you ever hear of a stadium coming in on time and budget?

    It's called a unicorn mate.

I think the Colosseum in Rome was the last one. At least ours is actually happening unlike some others. Personally I blame Archway Metals.

<laugh> that'll teach you to guess what paul is saying. Archway metals were the company we had to forcibly evict to get the building work started. They were the only business not to accept our reallocation terms when they were subject to a compulsory purchase. I very much doubt they had anything to do with building the new stadium.
The full cost (last we heard) was £750m but crucially this included non stadium building - hotels etc on the site. The stadium itself was still projected at £450m. These were the figures given only a few months ago. Possibly they might go up, but I doubt by much.

You seem to have bought in to the Dannys propaganda. The finished cost will be in excess of 1 billion hence why your marquee signing from Villa was an offer of £5 million and an academy mong and a box of monster munch.

The monster munch should’ve swayed it, Villa mugged themselves off by rejecting that.

Was it pickled onion flavour though? Could have blown it if not.

I reckon that was an inside job by their own people. Smart move by them though.

Definitley would have been a deal breaker if it was picked onion.

Roast beef is the only flavour worth anything.
