I said after the city game, it was only 3points lost. I am not too peeved we lost the game.... I worry a little at our performances over the past 3games (Everton, Napoli and Citeh) was actually more angry losing the game in Naples and worry the old Arsenal is slowly returning. I know we are top of the league and if I am being honest I do not expected us to win the league..... I understand the need to laugh at the Spuds, I also feel we need to temper the Spuds misfortune with caution...... I remember a few seasons ago when the Spuds got destroyed by Citeh at WHL, I remember giving it the bigun to my Spuds mate, later on that day we got mashed 8-2 by Manure, I went straight into hiding.
Many of us have never supported the Levy/Lewis regime . We have realised for years they have been parasites.
I have to share this wonderful, touching Ode, from a Sp*rs fan to AVB. I nearly wet myself laughing
Now that is touching, poor bloke obviously put a lot of effort into that. Let's hope for his sake that the spuds appoint somebody with a surname that rhymes so that he can wheel this one out again
You must be a lone voice on your board with a view like that. Whenever I'd questioned Levy's 'mastermind' acumen it was met with a tirade of sycophancy about what a brilliant business man and footballing brain he is. His track record at your club though speaks for itself, no major trophies for over twenty years, nearly as many managers and more spending on transfers that Man Utd. Long live Levy
I totally agree, the Levy/Sugar years have been a disaster . We hope one day we may come out of the darkness , there are other's who are anti the ENIC dictatorship but we regularly get the Levy sterile pro faction giving us the usual cock and bull. I am sure you could name a few.
It's an odd one really, because from the outside it's pretty clear that he is an autocrat with very little regard for ensuring that the money ENIC spend is done so wisely or that the manager in place is given the time and support to mould his team. He seems to have a 'spend your way out of a problem' attitude but doesn't have the acumen to implement that policy effectively. As for him blaming AVB for the Bale money being pissed up the wall, surely he would have sanctioned those transfers ? and that sour little episode seems like a classic case of shifting the blame onto the fall guy instead of admitting that he made mistakes. Some of our fans like to slate Gazidis/Kronke/Wenger, but the cold facts are that those people have got us a state of the art new stadium, consistent champions league football every season and currently sitting top of the league, all with a healthy bank balance and secure financial future, but they still come in for a roasting at the first whiff of a mistake. How the majority of Spurs fans appear to unquestioningly idolise Levy/ENIC seems like misplaced loyalty to me. Still, we not complaining - and that in itself should speak volumes to spurs fans.
Moi ? I am merely commenting on the current affairs in the world of football. That it just happens to be Spurs that are suffering a meltdown is simply a bonus
The commentator on Al Jezera doing the Spuds v Hammers game reckons Tim Sherwood is the favourite to be appointed full time to the Spuds manager job. I would laugh my arse off if this happens
Breaking news: Spurs close to appointing new manager. Levy has commented 'He is a big improvement on anybody we've had before and we believe that this appointment will reflect the direction that we want to take the club in for the future. Everybody at Spurs is very excited to welcoming him aboard as we feel that he is a manager made in the mould of our club' please log in to view this image
Spurs are unravelling all their good work of the past few seasons. Either an ex player previously unsuccessful in management, or an ex player who has never been involved in management. You couldn't make it up.
A narrow win over a winless in 6 southampton with the aid of an own goal will hopefully persuade Levy to give Sherwood the job permanently
