That's the thing tho Luv.....beating us at Anfield has never been a problem for you. Liverpool always turn up for the big games. Its the games against the Burnleys, Bournemouths and West Broms that have always been Pool's stumbling block.
Not so much this season though but we have had our moments, but so does every team. We're much better and have beaten the so called smaller teams with ease other than the odd blip.
I think every team has shock results throughout the season it's when they become a regular thing it costs you and we've been guilty of that for years. This season we've had 2 Burnley and Bournemouth. I don't consider a point against a Sunderland side fighting relegation as a blip, the keeper was bang on form and we played pretty well for the most part.
As a side battling relegation, that has to be a blip surely. Especially if you play well. I would consider it a blip if it was us.
Nice to see some sensible perspective from the likes of Blueman and Bod. Stan would have us shipping out half the first team that have won 13 on the bounce and sit top of the league on the back of one result!!
Bad result against a very good side who were more up for it and more in need of the points. Not the end of the world. Its how the next 3-4 games go that will go a long way to shaping our season. After that the fixtures are kinder and most of our rivals will be back in European action. We were written off after the Arsenal game and look how that worked out.
are you serious?? I wanted Thibo to step up. Which he hasn't done much of late for crosses. he is not commanding the 6 yard box just like Cech was unwilling post injury. Very weird from Thibo. Alonso + Cahill on the left WILL be our achilles heel. We need replacements for both of them. So that is half the first team??? I am happy that we have 5 point lead on top and very comfortable for my expectation of top 4. But we need to get more daylight between us & chasing pack like Goons & Spuds to finish comfortably in the top 4. That is all I am saying.
In reverse this is exactly right about you v us last season. However we had plenty to play for going into this game, and even had we lost, the season was far from over.
Still don't think you will make 4th. 5th will be an incredible achievement for you http://espnfc.com/video/espnfc/video?id=3032326 Ale agrees with me.
Spurs going from nearly winning the league to getting 5th would be an 'incredible achievement' ?!?! I do wonder what planet you're on sometimes. Maybe you're wumming us all but somehow I think you believe it....
To be honest I couldn't;t give a rat's arse about 'top 4'. Let Arsenal play for that 'trophy'. As Ricky Bobby would say...'if you're not first, you're last'. Anything other than the title would be a disappointment now.
ignore him, he takes too many drugs. You're only 7 points behind us, with 18 games left, not insurmountable by any means. I dont think Spurs will win the league, but silly to say you have nothing to play for. The top 6 is wide open especially 2nd to 6th.....only 5 points between them
Who overrates Hazard? I would say he is the third best singular player in the Premier League, after Aguero and Sanchez. Though Costa is quickly staking a place in that list now he has cut out the MMA bullshit from his game.
He's got a great burst but doesn't have the break neck speed. His finishing could be better as well as his decision making. He does make a good duo with Costa though. Hazard is excellent but not WC. People i would have over hazard: - Coutinho - Sanchez - Aguero - KDB - Poggers - Costa - Kane
