Should be a decent run out for our second string.
 
Don't really care much for this competition......Having said that, don't want to lose to Spuds either.

Getting the draw is probably even better for us these days as we seem to not know how to play at the Emirates anymore, and look much more comfortable when playing away from home.
 
Even though I don't care much for the CoC it is a competition AW has yet to win with us. I'd like for him to have won all 4 of the main season trophies with us before he retires.

The main big one he should try and get before he retires is the UCL.

In general we haven't won this competition because our second string team hasn't been good or strong enough.
 
In recent years, our performances in this competition has been pretty poor, but thankfully we have got rid of some of the players who put in piss poor performances in the COC games. Hopefully we get to see the Jeff start and maybe even Alex Iwobi, was very impressed with these two guys in pre-season, Jeff in particular was quality.

Forgive my ignorance but who the **** is Jeff ?
 
I think it's a good draw. If we win it's an early victory over a good team which will give us confidence going into the later rounds and if we go out it's early and we don't risk injuries etc with additional games.

Though I'm pretty sure we will win 4-1 <whistle>
 
I have been on the Spuds board to see what they are saying about the draw, and what a bunch of twats they are. For a start they all call us "the scum" which is nice, and secondly they really seem to think this is a big game and that it matters !!!

I don't know about you but to me any game against the spuds is a big game that matters <ok>

Really? I'm going to have to reread the board, cause I don't recognise that. I remember one of our posters saying it would be a useful game for some of our squad to understand the atmosphere of a NLD ahead of the bigger game in November. I don't remember anyone saying the League Cup is big, but like Cym we want to win this game whatever the competition. As for the scum, rarely heard you called that, but so what if we did? I am sure Spud is meant affectionately? The only wound up person on there lately is a Gooner who keeps misreading posts and goes off on one about us on our board as a result of the misunderstanding. It was embarrassing the first time, but second time..... I won't embarrass him by naming him.

spud is affectionate scum isn't - best you try reading the thread on your board properly as we were called scum by more than poster.

fyi I am not wound up by purile posts by myopic fans. If I was I would have made more of their scum comment but all I have said is they are a bunch of twats !

Going off on one would be me saying that all Spurs fans are ****s and that the nearest they get to winning is being near us in NL*



*but I am not saying that, you have some twat posters and so do we, you have some good posters and so do we.
