Bob - you could apply all of your arguements to Sanctuaire too! What were saying is that arguably SS has done as much as Sanctuaire, in terms of the opposition he's beaten, and the ease in which they have both beaten similar opposition. My inital argument was not to write off Sanc so dismissively, and if you look at them both run, both of their profiles, and the horses they've both beaten they're very similar.
I don't know that I'd go that far, but I'm really hoping that as many as possible of Finians Rainbow, Sizing Europe and Flemenstar fail to stay this season, and that the Tingle Creek is run on heavy ground so Sprinter Sacred is pulled out. That way we can have all five of them clashing for the first time in the Champion Chase. Highly unlikely, but don't tell me it doesn't sound good.
