Not too much said in the paper this morning about Argyle...other than the basics and a small pic of Joe Edwards holding the Cup.

For Div One it majored on Jay Stansfield scoring an hat-trick in his last match for Exeter before his return to his parent club Fulham.....Exeter was his boyhood team and of course the former club of his late father Adam Stansfield.

For anyone who is interested here is the play-off fixtures.

    Fri...12th May..........Peterborough v Sheffield W
    Sat...13th May..........Bolton v Barnsley

    Thurs...18th May..........Sheffield W v Peterborough
    Fri...19th May..........Barnsley v Bolton

    Mon...29th May...Final Wembley

And of course all matches live on the lovely SKY SPORTS.

Don't forget.....PARADE today for Argyle from the Barbican to Home Park for those that are up for it.

Looked out the window and in the end decided not to go. Listened on radio devon who were covering after a fashion and even their man in the boat said he couldn't see land from a hundred metres out. I saw all of the main things which was the team beating other teams so am content with that.

Just checked how last years Div 1 promoted teams did.

    Wigan champions....ended up bottom relegated.

    Rotherham second....just stayed up...19th.

    Sunderland won play-off final......scraped into 6th place today....so in the play-offs.

Sunderland took awhile to get out of Div 1...but in their first season they've done really well.....did they have a good budget to help them ?

Been looking through the parade pics....wow that fog was a real bummer down the Barbican......the yacht bit was rather pointless in the end....unseen till they stepped ashore.

It is a bank holiday but it’s still astonishing that 10,000 were inside the ground to welcome the team home.

I should say that’s according to the BBC but it certainly looked busy.

This isn't going to stay a secret for long is it. The more that is known about it and the more success clubs have using it then in time everyone will do the same. Not sure how that works though because not all players are going to be in demand using this method are they. Just for info they lost 2 - 1 to West Ham this evening.

It's 4 - 0 now and you have to say game over and tie over. Peterborough have had 4 shots on target and 4 goals. Ergo Sheff Wed goalie has saved nothing.

    Peterborough...4-0...Sheffield W.....F/T.

Oh dear...don't Peterborough realize that Wednesday are big boys and shouldn't be playing in this lowly league.

There was a time before Easter when Sheffield W looked like they were going to win Div One at a canter....but then it started going wrong......oh dear, oh dear.

The possibility of not going up after amassing 96pts....which should have meant automatic promotion most seasons.

Inevitable talk of Schumacher being on Southampton's wish list of manager's that they are interested in for their vacancy.

But Schumacher will already be a Championship manager by staying at Argyle.....and that's where Southampton will be playing next season....I assume they'll be one of the favourites to return to the Premiership.
