I'd have to say The Don and Nigel in equal billing for me. If I had to choose one it would be Nigel just for the sheer positivity he generates, and his achievement over the last 12 months. I know he makes me feel great after a pre-match interview, in any case.

However, the other day, a friend of mine asked me who I would be prepared to let go from SFC if I had to make a governing decision of necessity. Would it be Nicola or Nigel..? Remember, this is in terms of importance to the club [not SPOTY in this case]. And I had to say it would be bye bye Nigel. Cortese is pretty much priceless.

Losing Cortese would be the worst thing for us as it would no doubt lead to sale by the Leihberrs. There a lot of sharks out there wanting to buy clubs. Cortese's dream of a football club that is an example to others in all areas strikes a chord with many Saints fans.

I wonder how many other clubs' fans would choose the manager as their favourite personality? I bet not many in the Prem!

Man Utd possibly, the irascible old goat walks on water up there. And not sure how Norwich feel about Chris Hughton, but they've clearly got a diamond. I wouldn't swap either of them for Nigel though.

I wouldn't. I'm sure he is a great manager, but he is now doddery (how many years left) and since being at Man U has had oodles of money to spend. I have always thought that the measure of a manager is if he is still good in the lower leagues. We will never know with so many top managers who have never had to work down the pyramid.

We're off to Israel?! That's worse than the Dons move to Milton Keynes:biggrin:

"My sword shan't rest,
within my hand,
til we have built Jerusalem
in England's green and pleasant land."

The sooner we get that sung as a national anthem, the better. Will Carling tried for the egg chasers, but the old farts in blazers choked on their G&Ts.
