Ipswich was the perfect example. He set Prossy up for two goals. The first was from the byline and a quick, low cross whereas the second was from way back near halfway. We need a bit of both. I do think though with Brady and Aluko missing we have no one with the pace or agility to get in behind defenders.

I have seen very few great crosses in relation to how many poor ones he has put in. I would like to see how he does with Gedo up top as then he will have no excuses.

I'd like to see Gedo as well , I think he can get on the end of a cross and deserves a chance when we aren't scoring goals

Agreed, there's no real actual pace in the side without those two, Sagbo and Livermore are pretty quick but they aren't going to run at defenders and get them on the back foot, so we become easy to defend against. Even though Aluko's stats aren't great he wasn't scared to make that run where he isn't going to get the ball.

I remember an interview with Fryatt after a home game during Barmby's year when he'd scored at home and he said Barmby used to tell him if he ran behind the defence 20 times in a game he'd get a goal and every time he did he scored. I bet there's no one in our team at the moment who gets anywhere close.

I think a bad cross can be made to look a good one by the numbers in the area and vice versa. Agree about Gedo, especially at home, I think him and Sagbo together could be a good partnership for us for the time being.

I remember during the last game saying to the people around me that every time we put the ball in it seemed to go about a mile up in the air and then just drop straight down. You may as well just put it out for a goal kick because when they're put in like that either the keeper catches it under no pressure or he's given a freekick for a striker having the nerve to look at him.
