A super league would be an absolute nightmare scenario for our game. Can't be allowed to happen. Losing any of the teams mentioned from the league would massively devalue any subsequent achievements (titles and cups) any clubs might attain in their absence. I dont think it will happen, but, the appetite to generate more and more revenue seems to be an irresistible force. Hopefully, they can find a halfway house, reduce the size of the premier league and squeeze in an end of season daft money super cup of some kind, maybe.
Backham, man. I was 14 when he burst onto the scene, been a fan of his right up until the World Cup debacle. Said the decision was "Disgusting" when Qatar won the rights. Now he's bank ballance is swollen a bit more and he's now Mr Qatar doing promotion videos while probably staying in a 95 star hotel. He can join the ever growing list of once idolised that can now go and f**k themselves. Funny how "Start up" teams like Miami can afford the likes of Bale and rumours of Messi going. Imagine inventing a team here in England and starting in the 179th tear. Meanwhile over in America, parachute into the MLS, sign who you want and win a cup in your first season.

If all the money clubs go, would it not be like the remainder becoming like the old first division, with every member in with a chance of winning it? Of course the big players will move so the standard will drop but the old first div may not have been of as high a standard as the Premiership, but it was still exciting and at the start of the season the same few clubs wouldn’t be pencilled-in to win it.
