Don't get a hard on lads. There are many, many factors that will affect a share price and it could just as easily go back up tomorrow or in the near future. It's likely the purchase of a failing department store is affecting the price far more than some Geordies standing outside a SD store on Northumberland Street. Or some other reason - I don't follow the ins and outs of SD's finances and profitability tbf.
Of course, but if these efforts have a small contribution to the negative press, which has been brought up independently and outside of football as a mitigating factor, then it’s worth it.
Indeed ................... in the wise words of a supermarket chain ................... every little helps!!
It's the only language the fat sack of ****e understands. The fans have a common goal and purpose, which is something we rarely have (stay away. No, wait, support the team not the regime....ffs WHICH IS IT?!?!?!) Now it's just a consistent and petty attack on the only thing Mike cares for. Debenhams/HoF will take care of themselves, they're already being hammered by Amazon, and the likes of H&M, Primark and John Lewis' innovative measures. His tacky pisspot stewardship is just going to bump them to their doom that bit quicker. He probably genuinely thinks Debenham's will be saved by stocking Firetrap and Dunlop.
I think these other retail acquisitions will strengthen his grip on NUFC as he has the perfect vehicle to advertise these (hardly advertised) retailers....
Maybe. I actually emailed the FA to ask whether there might be an issue with MASH effectively having links to both NUFC and Fulham, what with the new Chairman of SD being a non-exec on the Fulham board..... I don’t anticipate a response!
Multiple directorships can be common though mate. The fat one will destroy those retail brands soon enough. I can see a lot of brand owners thinking twice about supplying that organisation with their product moving forward.
Not in football. It’ll be gray enough not to matter though. Already the news is about merging Debenhams and HoF.
Mark Douglas has heard that Fat Ash is “fed up of football” and will accept a clause free £300m. Allegedly.
We've this kind of thing before more than once but we can but hope. 8 years ago or so he was meant to be willing to take £80m for it. I think he has been wanting rid for a long time but only if he gets the money he wants. I doubt that amount has changed tbh. I think he's building up £100m in the coffers and will take that and an offer of £300m if he can still get it to get his £400m. I think if that is the case we'll be sold this season if 1, the Staveley offer is still on the table and 2, we aren't looking likely to go down.
And 3. Some group of mugs are willing to pay way over the odds for a Club that has been asset stripped since the last known offer was made.
****ing hell. Does he just sit around in his massive jeans thinking “now how can I be an even bigger **** today?”
I'm not sure if it would be up to HOF as to who gets paid what they are owed if they are in administration. Is it not the point of having administrators? Hence the "speak to the administrators" line they have put out? I don't know how it works exactly but it would seem to make sense. Hopefully the administrators will make sure the punters get paid first.
Yeah but the point was he said after buying hof he’d guarantee punters would get paid, then a week later said no.
In a perfect world this would happen. However, a punter is just a normal creditor and gets a share of what's left AFTER the administrators, the legal eagles and their chums get their share. This situation here is compounded by the fact that when Ashley 'won' the right to take over HoF the other bidder, who wanted to "break the rules" and let the punters have their share first before the asset strippers (sorry, Administrators) got theirs were overlooked by the Administrators even though theirs were the better offer and, as Administrators, were obliged to go for the competing bid. Funny that. This is why, sadly, that woman who went to Binns in Darlington and took the sofa for which she had paid acted morally correctly but not to the letter of the law as her sofa and payment would be both considered as assets to be divided up by the Administrators. Good on her.
The NUFC facilities manager has been rolled out to say some stuff about investing in the stadium, the training complex, etc. He's reminded us we have a grand plan in place, but have essentially done some painting so it's not as bad as it seems. He's then harped on about replacing stuff like the tiles in the players tunnel and painting some areas with dark blue 'cos it doesn't stain as easy. Anywho, what's your thoughts on that? More piss-weak PR attempts? Or is this an attempt to polish the turd and make it saleable?
Piss weak PR ......................... if only dear old Kath Cassidy was still about she could have been bundled in front of the press pack too!!
