I think it's a good thing Murray was knocked out early. He needs a good rest before Wimbledon. He was involved in a couple of really long matches in the French Open.

Yeah, he should've declared at about a 340 lead, Sri Lanka would never had made that. Yet another chance goes begging because of negative captaincy.
Great finish to the match though.

 

Hampshire bowled out Essex for 121 today (they were 55-2). Abbott took 5 and a wonderful 150 from Vince gives Hampshire a lead of over 400.

 

A run a ball 150 too, could be a few records broken if Hants decide to bat on in the morning.

Djokovic serving for the second set against Stephanek. Up a break at 5-3, after taking the 1st 6-4. Murray won 6-1 6-1 6-0 earlier. Dimitrov, who won Queens is also comfortably through to Round 3 after a straight sets win.

 

Wonderful match between Stepanek and Djokovic, but Novak edges it in a fourth set tie-break. Terrific.

 

Hants post a competitive score of 170, but will be disappointed with the second half of the innings after Carbs and Jimmy Adams scored excellent half centuries. They are going to cane someone for 250 one day when Maxwell comes to the party.

 

Good win for Hants in the end but a lot closer than it should've been, still, back to the top of the table.

 

Some good bowling at the end to get the win. Was worried about Sammy he looked dangerous, great catch to see him off.
