Much better pitch. Pretty even contest between bat and ball
    Brook going very well again.
Got a feeling it’s going to be a day for the Harrys.

Good to get back to Cricket, a sport where the best team nearly always wins. Plus listening to the ball striking willow when looking outside my village is covered in snow is a little luxury.

It's been there all my life, right from when I was a small boy and my father had to rig up a wire arial from the old radio trying to get a signal. It was on Radio 3 in those days. It's moved all over the BBC since from Radio 4 and so on. Bearders & Johners and the great John Arlot. Especially good listening in the winter bringing a little bit of sun.

There remains something evocative about listening to cricket on TMS, even though its halcyon days of Jonners and Blowers has passed, the new breed still paint great pictures and are excellent commentators.

Radio sport commentators in most sports are better than there TV counterparts these days. It does make you hanker for the days of Richie Benaud.

Absolute result, sent Mrs Conn out onto the roof armed with her trusty broom to clear the snow from the dish, she only fell off 3 times but she is made of stern stuff , a stiff Brandy and rub down with the sporting life should see her alright

These pitches in Pakistan have been fairly dead, but Brook has exploited and taken advantage very well, we can`t fault his application and he has flourished when other more established players have struggled, he looks a real talent in all formats, Yorkshire don`t half produce some good players. England are looking like having some selection dilemmas for The Ashes next summer, with players staking a claim and others returning from rest and injury.

I had him losing before that, too. Absolutely devastating knockout.
Glad he didn't follow up before Xhoxhaj went down. Could've really hurt him badly.
