    Just WOW!

What a delight to watch an attacking team going for the win.

England were 20/1 to win on Friday night
Not that I'm advocating betting, but that would have been worth a tenner

I don't think you'll get those odds at the end of the England innings today.

    It won’t be close

Made the mistake of telling my 15 year old daughter that I agreed with Fina’s decision to ban trans athletes (who have transgendered after age of 12) from women’s elite competitions.
What bloody grief I’ve had :emoticon-0107-sweat
I only said that it was for the integrity of the competition because an adult who transgenders will retain many male characteristics, which give them an unfair advantage - height, muscle mass and density etc.
    Is that so wrong? :emoticon-0127-lipss
    Help

I'm fully supportive of trans rights and I think my political positions are pretty clear already.
I'm with you on this one, though.

I don't care if someone wants to be treated as a man, woman or other.
It's not really any of my business and it doesn't affect me, so I'm not sure why I should.
Sport is supposed to be fair though and this is like years of doping.
It's especially important in physical, contact sports too, where it can be dangerous.

It's being overblown as part of the whole culture wars dynamic, of course.
How many cases are there? Very, very few, I'd suggest.

    You echo my own sentiments.
You can respect David and Goliath equally - but 9/10 the result is a forgone conclusion.
You’re not always going to find Achilles’ heel.
Elite sport can only thrive where there is competition.
That’s why men and women rarely compete together in any mainstream sport. Men have too many unfair advantages. It’s not misogynistic to say they women can’t compete at the same level in most sports. It’s not anti-trans to make a similar observation.
And if you take competition out of elite sport, what will sustain it?
The sporting authorities need to address how they find a place for trans people who want to compete in elite sports

Did you tell her to go and clean her room (again) ??

    ^unfair ^unequal

It is good entertainment though for real misogynists, to see
women get the Heather Swanson treatment in UFC etc.

He's avenged one loss. That's not even vaguely remarkable.
Dillian Whyte's done that, just to use one of his contemporaries at the same weight.

Lennox Lewis would have a better claim for it, as he defeated both opponents that beat him.
He also beat Evander Holyfield after their first contest was a draw.
