What a fantastic effort by Feliciano Lopez. He played 61 games today and he is probably going to be the only person ever to play five consecutive matches on centre court at Queens.​

 

Rushed about like a blue arsed fly to finish work and watch the England innings, 26-3 ffs why can't an English team do the simple things

 

England can't chase a total.
Failing miserably when it matters as usual.

 

Picked the wrong squad didn't need a third spinner, Willey would have been useful today and the injury to Roy with Hales already missing has been a massive blow.

2 massive games need to win both

 

So there you have it , watching any sport played by England leaves you feeling like a Spurs fan , it's the expectation that does me every time , when does the season start

 

Same old England it really hasn't been a good week has it

 

Same old mistakes.
Poor shot selection.
Root & Stokes got great balls, but the rest played unnecessary shots.
The tennis ball bounce made it hard for players to execute the pull and hook. Bairstow, Buttler and Morgan got out playing Hollywood shots which didn't come off. They should have been looking to stay in and accumulate.
Had they been 190-3 after 40, this batting line up could easily get 95-100 off the last 10 with two set batsmen and wickets in hand - even with Starc bowling. Stokes showed the way to play until Starc bowled an unplayable yorker.
The bowling was OK, but nobody in the England team had the X Factor of Starc.
This World Cup is increasingly more about the best bowlers than batsmen. Those who can take wickets consistently at crucial times are the players making the difference.

 

So when England bat first they win, and when they bat second they lose.

Mmmm, so what should "excellent" captain Morgan do when he wins the toss? Well against the Aussies he decided to bat.

Definition of madness is repeating the same thing and expecting a different result. Let's hope he doesn't repeat this mistake. Again.

Andy has many haters.

 

Mainly because his matches were utterly insufferable to watch due to several thousand sea lions being in attendance

Seems pretty obvious to me why there's such a larger amount of "Come on Andy" cheering than say "Come on... Kyle/Dan/Cameron/Heather\Johanna" etc. Because he's a winner who consistently gets to the latter stages whilst most others fall at the first or second hurdle.

Doesn't take a genius to work out that if you're the last man standing, you're the only one left to cheer.

 

So why were they being so over the top when he hadn't won **** and could reliably be beaten by taking him to five sets, exposing his poor stamina?
