Day two and Lancs need 128 to win, but more likely Yorkshire 4 wickets
Bairstow smashed 82 off 67 balls,Buttler made 59 but was out at the end of the day when Joe Root came on to bowl and finished with 1-1-0-1!

The George Groves vs Callum Smith Super Series fight that was postponed due to Groves' surgery has been rescheduled.
It was supposed to be June 2nd at the O2 Arena and now it's the 28th of September... in Saudi Arabia. Odd.

Can somebody at the BBC explain to Paula Radcliffe that she's only allowed to slag off World Athletics Championships who fail to finish their events?

You know, just like she did...

    RIP Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart

The really sad thing is that, from this match, Bret Hart is the only member of the team still with us

I guess we can call Ben Stokes cricket's answer to Steven Gerrard then...

  14. Didn't look good on video but was always going to be difficult for a jury to convict.
If that hadn't been Stokes involved I would have put money on CPS dropping it all together or at least recommending a caution or community resolution for Sec 5 or Common Assault.

  16. Stokes straight back out into team for next test....... <doh>

Appreciate he was found not guilty of the criminal charges, but his behaviour was appalling and brought the game into disrepute.

Sends completely the wrong message to young cricketers and sportsmen generally - and will be a slap in the face for the player dropped to re-accomodate him.

His replacement was Chris Woakes.... MOTM in the last Test. Will be a disgrace if he has to give way.

I refer back to my Steven Gerrard comparison

  18. So, MOTM from the first test Sam Curran is the sacrificial lamb on the Stokes altar! <grr>

Well done, Root and the England selectors. You should be very proud of yourselves!! <doh>
