I can see the appeal for youngsters as cyber gaming is their life. Gone are the days when wrong uns could get a kid in a van at the offer of free candy and have now started again offering free WiFi.
Jaws was brilliant in it's time ... I saw it in the cinema as a teenager and you could have heard a pin drop in packed theatres until the screams at the shock shots ... I'd already read the book which, in my opinion, was way better than the eventual screen play... it was much darker. The marine biologist was banging the police chief's wife, which the chief suspected - so the tension between the 3 guys on the boat was intense. Perhaps they should remake it with CGI?... but it did quite some damage to apex shark numbers first time around so it might not be PC to do it again...
For me it is a toss up between Jaws, the first Jurassic Park, and Raiders of the Lost Ark. I would never be able to choose between those three. All awesome movies. Though I also love Saving Private Ryan, Catch me if you Can and Last Crusade
Not my favourite. Forced to pick I'd say Saving Private Ryan which is a masterpiece. Schindlers List is also excellent - Jaws good too. A lot crap though like the Indiana Jones films.
Aye The book is great. Nothing like the film really, a lot of the book centres around political corruption, like the mayor wanting to keep the beaches open because he owes money to the mob. They try to intimidate Brody into keeping the beaches open, they murder his cat and do all sorts of horrible ****. The Hooper/Ellen thing is funny, and yes it makes the third act way more tense.
Lol liked quite a lot of that list. Indiana classics. Catch me if you can good watch. Going to get slated but quite liked minority report. Can't remember schindlers list much will need to do a rewatch. Same with jaws. Also never seen et
How old are you? You must be young if you have never seen ET? Jaws is a ****ing classic. The first ever summer blockbuster movie.
No, i lived in shaolin temple in a deep dark forest in China for my first 20 years. ET was before my time and never caught up to watch it. I might have to give it a crack because it a "classic" but a kind film never appealed to me in my adult years. Been revisiting some of the classics the past 2 years: first 3 star wars first 4 die hards bladerunner a space odyssey terminator rambo still on my list is watching rocky, the godfathers and predators properly
think i've seen scenes of jaws, but i was quite young and my bro probably watched it on TV and when you're like 5 or whatever your focus and your memory just aren't quite there (plus it was scary when i was young)
