Of all the positives from the Man U game the biggest negative was Jonas getting sent off and the one match ban which he will serve against ch£lski.

I know many think Jonas is wanting in a few areas, but for me hes an important cog in our team and is as big miss as anyone else (maybe not Colo).

The conundrum is whos gonna take his place? Sammy on the left like he was with England? I think this would leave Raylor too exposed considering the loss of the cover Jonas gives him.

For me, I would push Raylor up and bring in Santon at LB. Santon is due a start.

Will be a miss, however I wouldn't want to disturb the defense, start Sammy imo.

Thats true, but we dont have an alternative. We know what Taylor can do from that position if hes allowed to cut in and relase that gem of a right foot hes got.

Wouldn't have a problem with trying Raylor out further up the left with Santon behind him really. Jonas hasn't been getting forward all that much recently anyway since he's been helping out at LB, so having essentially two LBs (one being more attacking minded - Santon) could work alright.

We can't piss about with the defence because a midfielder got sent off. We have to use what he have, and what we have is Sammy Ameobi.

That might not be such a bad thing against chelsea, they'll likely play 4,3,3 with mata/ramieres coming down that side. Looking at their team sheet against Wolves Strurridge was out right too.

Bit of switching. Not my first choice of thing to do but I can see why some might want to try it.

aye, but surely with sturridge liking to cut in on his right that would benefit playing Raylor at Leftback

  15. Raylor can play LM or RM. He lacks pace, but so did Barton.

Raylor has good defensive abilities and could cover the fullback, and also has fantastic passing and deliveries.

I'm sure Sammy played down the left for England U21s a few weeks ago against Belgium. I could be wrong though.

Edit: I was wrong, he played left forward.

Don't mess with the proven defence - leave Raylor alone and give Santon a go further up

Don't laugh, but can't Lovenkrands play on the left?
