i don't think this hartley fellow was ever offered the job. i think its the same situation as alan shearer, when he was invited to speak to us along with other candidates, but rejected the chance. he then had the arrogance to state he turned down the job.

It didn't take "arrogance" to "turn down the job". Just plain old common sense.

what good manager would let tan make all the decisions to do with what players to buy and who to play. Even Baby face had issues on that score....

Dai - we stand in awe of your inside knowledge of our club. <ok>

So it was Tan who signed the likes of Berget, Eikrem, Dikgacoi, Burgstaller, Macheda etc, and picked the sides for each game. No wonder Ole didn't have a chance.

How diaper duty going jayman , the only thing I dont miss about my boys being infants , I wish they were small again ...hope everyone is well .. cheers , better get out of here before I get banned again , good luck against Derby gents..

Its all fun and games roof mate. Sleepless nights and colic. All part of the parcel <laugh>. Cheers for asking dude <ok>

I must admit I quite liked OGS as a person but has been found wanting as our manager.

As a club and supporters we are not the easiest to please are we ?

Don't get this Pulis won't drop down to the Championship rubbish, £££££ will get him if Tan wants him.

spot on.

but its only 7 games in and we are already 8 points off automatic promotion, which would have been his target, so its completely logical decision from the club. he would have been given the job on the basis of keeping us in the PL (failed), and once in the championship, his objective would have been automatic promotion (8 points off top 7 games played - failure).

I have to admit I am pretty nervous about who we will get. I always believe you should not sack your manager unless you have someone better lined up. I don't think we do at the moment. We may well not solve anything if we just replace Ole with another stab in the dark.

I hope we don't become a 10 managers in 10 years kind of club.

I think you might be because of Tan, don't get me wrong, I predicted Cardiff to come straight back up, Ole did not have a clue

In fairness to Tan and co. Ole was absolutely clueless. He had a decent record at Molde, worked under the best British manager in history so the fact he was so far off getting it right was a surprise to most people. A few PL clubs had looked at him before we took the plunge, he was seen as one of the next big things in management.

I understand the whole don't sack him without a better option but football is full of better options than Ole. Someone like Ince (who I'd hate to see at the club) would almost certainly do a better job than the muppet Tan has correctly sacked and there are loads of names available who might not be world beaters but know how to manage a club with the playing squad we have.

Breezy - whilst you're at perfect liberty to post your opinions on here, you're so far out of touch with reality regarding this club that your comments carry no weight.

You know nothing about it - that's just marginally less than you appear to know about Swansea.

Well I was up in the little Capital the other day, what's all those steel cages and fencing around the castle? is it to keep the Kairdiff hooligans from running riot?...........<laugh>

You should visit, its like Swansea. Its compact and easy to get around, if you travel a few miles out of the city centre you are in stunning countryside, the locals dont follow the football clubs in the city and there are loads of caravan dwellers.

Been there ,pretty ****ty city from memory but hi ho you're living the dream so who am I to spoil it .

That's a bit rich considering your location?
