I don't know if you've ever played football but when you're running at full pelt and someone clatters into you from the side you do tend to go down.

I think you also missed the bit where Shirley Temple cleaned Fletcher out when he was going in on goal

Andy Carrol seems to be having problems with his undercarriage.

Remember seeing that live and thinking "****ing hell!"

The ball went straight to Fletch's feet as well I seem to remember - ironic, like Johnno was saying "see yer beardy twat, this is how you do a fancy flick!!"

This has probably been dealt with up thread about 10 pages back, but I "kipped" in East Midlands airport last night and then had to work today till 22:30 but ...

... I'm in the definite-pen-but-not-a-red-camp after seeing the MoTD replays.

I was in the South Stand directty above the incident and you could see Colloccini racing in from the left and making no attenpt to get the ball, but very few fans were shouting "off, off" ... before the ref did indeed send him off.

I suppose the Mags "should" win the appeal, but they're in the relegation zone which makes it easier for the powers-that-be just to back the ref.

I despair for football if that's your honest, unbiased opinion. Of course, it isn't, so I guess we have no problem.

Well you're saying it was a dive and I'm saying that if you'd ever played football you'd know that it wasn't. That leaves me with only one conclusion. Not that I ever really thought you knew what you were talking about anyway.
