Moscow is really in the very western part of Russia. It's on the same meridian as parts of Ukraine and Turkey. You're right, it is 3 hours ahead of GMT, and BST is 1 hour ahead, so the difference is 2 hours. Still late to be playing football though, imo, especially for local fans. I suppose it's the tyranny of the western associations and their tv requirements. They do start earlier in the winter though, don't they? Once the weather gets dodgy.
They've just switched from a natural grass pitch to a hybrid pitch in preparation for the World Cup. Apparently synthetic fibres are injected into the grass which means the pitch remains playable for longer and recovers quicker than grass. Let's hope this is also the case with our beloved team,
Yeah I think quite a few clubs do, particularly the lower leagues and some like Chelsea and Hull have it installed on their training pitches.
Couple of reds fans collared Maureen in a Moscow hotel flyer and asked could they have a photo taken with him. Take a look at Maureen's new club badge. please log in to view this image
Well...back from Mancland, spent mainly celebrating my nephews 3rd birthday...and getting drunk, eating lots.... Are we winning this **** tonight or what!
Almost everyone in Russia seems to live in the Western part of the country. The rest is mostly wilderness, tundra, and ice dragons.
Probably embarrassed to be caught wearing something with a United emblem on it. Wishes the Shankly badge replaced the United one.
