Who should replace Sparky

I should have really reworded this poll to who we think our useless board will select to be our next manager rather than who we would want.

This is depressing. I regretfully accepted that we had hired Sparky because we needed to make a change, and didn't have much choice. If we sack Hughes and hire another one...well. We just become one of those boring, irrelivant stupid clubs that keeps desperately hiring the same old failed managers until we get relegated.

I agree in part....I hate that we have become one of those clubs, but sometimes you have to make a decision (though only for a real improvement). Shouldn't have sacked Puel (at least not after his first season)….all went downhill from the moment the board listened to fans and the players.

The Mirror report saying that Allardice and Moyes are favourites also claim that the fans would like Strachan back.
Haven’t seen much evidence of the latter, but he would probably get more out of the squad than Hughes.
I always felt that his strength, when previously here, was getting the players so fit that even average players were made to look better than they actually were.
If nothing else he would sharpen up pre and post match interviews.

I think that is already us. The new Southampton way.

As long as “Promote from within” includes giving Les Reed the head coach role along with everything else I’m all for it. He’s well up to speed with the modern PL game from those long weeks he spent with Charlton, not to mention revolutionising the FA. Of course we would have to give him a hefty financial incentive to get off his fat arse but it would be money well spent.

That'd be... Interesting.
