Antonio Felix da Costa to be Red Bull reserve for Chinese GP He's got to be on for a STR drive next season, or will he come straight to Red Bull? Do they rate him higher than the two current STR guys...
Richard Branson is finally going to fulfil his bet with Tony Fernandes of dressing up as an air stewardess for Virgin losing out to Lotus in the 2010 constructors' championship. Just the two-and-a-half years late then...
My understanding is that such apparent tardiness has been due to Fernandes' inability to provide the flight. I'm pretty sure I read of him postponing it more than once…

F3 qualifying in Silverstone today. Start for race 1: 1. Harry Tincknell 1:54.098 2. Alex Lynn 1:54.421 3. Felix Rosenqvist 1:54.471 4. Raffaele Marciello 1:54.602 (Ferrari described this as an "average performance" which I thought was quite harsh considering this is his first time at Silverstone). 5. Nicholas Latifi 1:54.708 12. Tom Blomqvist 1:55.300 16. Josh Hill 1:55.628 Start for race 2: 1. Harry Tincknell 1:54.129 2. Felix Rosenqvist 1:54.643 3. Raffaele Marciello 1:54.859 4. Alex Lynn 1:54.916 5. I hadn't realised, but there's a 5 part F1 documentary on BBC4 at the moment. Episode 4 is tonight at 11.
Kimi's radio messages throughout the race:
If anyone missed it, to be honest I wouldn't bother. It's barely a documentary, just old footage with subtitles, they didn't even splash out on a voiceover. Last night was the end of Jackie Stewart's career through to the mid-70's. Nothing new in it.
Fair to say Schumacher's strenght was never his qualifying, that was his 1 main weakness. Only 60 something poles compared to 90 something wins. I'd say the only current driver capable of getting more wins than poles is Fernando Alonso, because he's not the best qualifier either.
It makes some good points, but perhaps neglects what I think is the biggest point, F1 car's reliance on aerodynamics. If there was a significant shift towards mechanical grip, it'd be easier to run close to other cars with less 'dirty air', and that should make overtaking more likely.
