150 Mil . How many years I wonder ? Personally I think Max will have walked away before 2028 anyway .
I rewatches this race a couple of years ago. It still brings back so many good memories. Mansell was an absolute beast! He might not rank up there with the absolute legends of F1, but God he could drive just about any car, and it was never a dull watch. He just attracted and embraced drama. I need another Nige in my life
Just read that Liberty Media/Global have now purchased 65% of FormulaE, so they now have the controlling stake! I guess they are coving their backsides for a possibility of F1 going fully electric sometime in the future as I believe FormulaE have the exclusive rights on open wheel electric racing!
Red Bull apparently want to have the Mercs new front wing examined by the Red Bull Chief Engineer as part of an unofficial request.... https://www.express.co.uk/sport/f1-...-Bull-Lewis-Hamilton-Mercedes-Russell-request
I think that’s a mis-translation from the original story. Allegedly RedBull have drawn the FIA’s attention to how the Merc front wing flexes on track - this has been a thing you can see in the onboard shots since early 2022. Whilst Merc weren’t a threat it seems no-one really cared, now RedBull are stirring the pot.
"Special memories, pretty scary memories" | Nigel Mansell reflects on taking part in the Indy 500 This was another bit of video of Nigel that I saw on you-tube
Le Mans and the Monaco Grand Prix are two of the three races that compose the coveted Triple Crown of Motorsport; taking victory in either event is impressive in and of itself, but creating a race program capable of winning both in the same year is incredibly difficult — and also incredibly impressive. Ferrari’s ability to take on both challenges in 2024 is a great sign for the Scuderia’s racing hopes. First team in 90 years to achieve this since Alfa Romeo did it in1934. Well done Ferrari.
What did Yuki say? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/articles/ckkg05kxg6wo I'm guessing it was ******.
It feels annoying that Max called someone a *****l as a pejorative a few years ago (I think it was against Stroll when he came out of pit line rather careless at Mugello) but didn't get a fine like this. So the inconsistency is also annoying. To be clear, I don't think either should have been punished for a single incident. Maybe if it was a repeat incident you could argue it. But not for a single incident. On another note ,just read brat boy has been given a two point fine on his super licence for causing the turn 3 accident with Lando.
Yep just as bad, fine and educational course for a first offence. No excuses. After that you can start sitting out sessions.
