I think that JV just says controversial stuff to get his name in the headlines. Seems it's the only way he can get press coverage!!!
hmm, controversial would've been to say Williams are doing a good job and can get out of the rut they've been in quickly
They have a new rear wing which was to stop the aero stalling when they turned the wheels, so now it stalls the diffusers when the DRS gets closed instead.
It's an understandable problem. It's not like DRS has been around for years, how were they to know that this would happen, it's not like you need DRS regularly so would need to test it. Heck it's almost as rare as needing downforce when turning the wheels.
Kevin continues to make friends up and down the paddock. https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/137521/magnussen-likens-alonso-rants-to-neymar-antics "Haas driver Kevin Magnussen has compared Formula 1 rival Fernando Alonso's radio complaints to the perceived play-acting over injuries of football star Neymar in the recent FIFA World Cup."
The lead of the championship has now changed 5 times this season. The last time this happened? Schumacher and Villeneuve were the drivers.
Mick Schumacher qualified P1 on race 2 of the F3 weekend in Spa. He won race 3 from 7th on the grid in mixed conditions. Brilliant drive and another chapter in the Schumacher story.
“Lauda cut short his holiday in Ibiza” What an absolute legend. I know what he says is often marmite but you’ll be hard pressed to find a braver man up and down the paddock. He says a lot of truths about the sport when he isn’t on Merc PR duty.
Not sure what standard British F3 is these days, but could be worth watching to see if she gets noticed https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/motorsport/45075665 Jamie Chadwick becomes first woman to win British Formula 3 race
Billy Monger out-shoey's Ricciardo by celebrating his 3rd place at Spa by drinking the champagne from his artificial leg. https://www.driving.co.uk/video/billy-monger-celebrates-spa-podium-leggy-champagne-swig/ Personally though I'm keeping my eye on Jamie Caroline, as his dad (a junior british champion himself), was my brothers best mate at school and his aunt was my sisters.
So, going to race in america and winning whilst wearing his own brand clothing, that makes me suspect some of his motives for moving have nothing to do with cars.
rather a TAXING issue for him . Bless him ……… Oh and before anyone mentions his moving back to Spain despite the tax hit , spare me please .
