The axe being wielded at McLaren . Not sure if he has lost his employment , or just that role . To late to change anything now though . https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/43904342
This is very big news and imho the biggest thing for McLaren. Since he headed up chassis, there have been some right duds. Prodromou s influence has been growing and I’d like to see him head up the whole design
I wonder what's behind this . They have been doing well . https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/43980008
Anyone bidding for this ? https://www.telegraph.co.uk/cars/ne...ing-f1-car-expected-fetch-seven-figure-price/
It would not surprise me if it fetches well over that quoted expectation. This car, like several others, will only rise in value.
I agree , I can see it going for more . Just looked , it went for approx £3.7 million , surprised to be honest .
It's a tricky one. It might go for as little as 1.5 – in which case, someone bags a real bargain; but I expect it to fetch a lot more and would be disappointed at anything less than 2M.
Thanks, Jasper. I was just about to research it myself. 3.7 is a good deal all round, although I'd hoped several mega-rich car enthusiasts would have been at loggerheads over it to push the price well beyond 5. – Now all I need to do is contact the new owner to find out if I can have a go! ;-)
I wish I could give two likes for that! Some of the camera angles really show why the place is considered so special. Very different times - safety was um... less of a priority. At 1:29 I was trying to see his feet sticking out of the bottom of the car, pushing himself along.
yeah, now we know how it was possible to overtake at Monaco. Shame the streets got narrower and the cars doubled in size, wouldn't like to have an off in one though.
