https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/134172/f1-announces-weekend-schedule-changes-for-18 Most races now to start at 3.10pm. The French GP put back to 4.10pm so as not to clash with the England World Cup game. Other race times could be adjusted further for other clashes
It's to Do with broadcasters who start their show on the hour and miss the all important build up with the glamourous grid g......uys.
Well at least we can now get a better view of the all important event. Derek plastering the new sponsorship logo onto the halo.
So they have replaced women with kids... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/formula-...troduces-grid-kids-scheme-replace-grid-girls/ Would have been a good idea if it was like mascots in a football game with ordinary or kids who havnt faired well in life. But no its rich kids in motorsport.
Excellent. Replace sexism with child exploitation! D'ya reckon the kids will get paid the same as the grid girls, or jus the priviledge of being there will make up for it ?
So Liberty HAVE found a way to save money!!! Sack the Grid Girls and the agencies that provide them. Then just ask for child volunteers who will do it just for the privilege! What is next stop women models making hair commercials!!!!!
Brilliant. Now, to revive the question thread, can we name the drivers and the incidents Hunt was talking about?
Well... looks like we'll be getting sky coverage of the 2018 F1 season after they decided to take the coverage off NBC and give it to ESPN. Absolutely gutted! Grrrrrrr!!!!
I am so ****ing mad about this. David Hobbs, Steve Matchett and Will Buxton have done a cracking job of presenting F1 coverage that insightful, interesting, unbias and funny. Now we get Sky. Great!
Martini have announced this will be their last season for sponsoring Williams. Probably fed up by the lack of older F1 drivers.
Formula 1 has announced its plans for its in-house streaming service. Not available in the UK obviously but it'll be between $8-$12 a month, much better than sky high prices.... The future may be less croftish
Sky in the UK have the longest deal of the lot I think, 2025 might be the earliest we see the end of Croft.
Sky sell their coverage abroad, this may start eating into it. They're safe in this country, but 800k viewers won't support a multi multi million pound deal for them. Hopefully this can't bring f1 back to the masses in the near future. More and more are learning how to acquire footage in other ways anyway so sky's model is flawed eventually.
