Special mention to Button. Quietly putting Alonso away.

Plus the fact that he missed ALL soft tyre running. Having effectively the same lap time is impressive.
But I do think Button has massively improved his game, a few years back, he'd have been terrible in this car but now he seems to know how to drive around a problem.

Just looks in control at even though the situation at Mclaren is dire. Would be a good way to go out knowing he finished strong, setting up the team for the future.

There's been a new theory about the problems at Mercedes.

Anybody see Ecclestone saying F1 is too expensive and costs need to be cut yet on the other hand he is pricing Monza off the calendar.

The FR3.5 season has started, seems a little lacking in talent this year perhaps?

It is 21 years to the day that Senna was killed.

lest we not forget the tireless work that has gone on in F1 to ensure there has not been a fatality since the tragic weekend that took the lives of Senna & Ratzenberger.

in a way, Senna may take comfort from the fact that his life has meant no one elses has been taken since.

    RIP boys

Vandoorne on pole for the sixth race in a row. If he carries on this form it's hard to see Magnussen ever getting back into F1.

Monster performance from Vandoorne, everything was stacked against him in that race, poor strategy, no DRS with a load of overtaking to do. This is what happens when GP2 has a genuine talent in it. He has to be in F1 next season.

Kirchoffer took the second race in GP3. He and Ocon separated by just two points at the top of the championship. Ocon's favourite for the title I think, but it's going to be a great battle. Shame it's such a long wait for the next race. Would've been nice if they stuck one of their own events in there at Paul Ricard or somewhere.

Vandoorne took second in the GP2 sprint race, he's now 37 points clear after two rounds. Total dominance.

Ocon and Vandoorne will be on the same grid soon.

This caught my eye today, Ferrari's 2009 entrant. How the cars have changed, look at the simplicity of that front wing!

2009 was an odd year, we seemed to have been transported to the 90's after the regulation change.
