**** sake your clutching at straws now They got beat fair and square, it could have been 10-0 on aggregate if you had been paying attention. It could have also been 10-2 to the 5th placed team in La Liga against the English Champions at their home turf
In what position? I'd suggest that Terry, Ferdinand, Lescott and Jagielka are all ahead of them at centre-half and Johnson, Richards and Walker are ahead at right-back. Jones may go if others aren't fit. Llorente will definitely be in the Spanish squad, on the other hand.
Yeah, that's because they don't invest in their academies...They need to imporove on a lot of things...
Not ****e, just divided and they will be lucky if Mourinho hasnt sent the SPanish national side back to the dark days
Ferdinand cant get on before either of them at Utd, why do you think he will get on before them at England? Smalling and Jones have got on before Lescott in the England team before, what makes you think either of them have fallen down the pecking order? Terry will struggle to get a game for England now with all thats gone on, plus he's way past his best. I'll give you Jag, when he's fit Neither of them are right backs but you never know!
If all english clubs cared about their academies like Southampton do then we would have more english players and better ones to.
Valencia, the 3rd best team in Spain, finished bottom of their Champions League group and got thumped by Chelsea. Man Utd were just awful tonight.
Acadamies are the way forward... Celtic have invested a lot in their acadamy recently and I hope to see it make its mark in the next few seasons!
Is that what happened, I thought they were just out muscled, out worked, out passed, out skilled, out scored, out played and out sung... All right, if you say so
Fior God's sake, can't we have a balanced view on this issue? The Spanish league is full of technical ability. It is also DULL. Their top six or seven teams may be well able to match our equivalents, but what they NEVER do is provide any excitement by challenging The Filth or Barsa. Never ever, they just roll over like pussy cats. Yes, I know, Barsa have lost points this season - all that has meant is that now they're focussed on the CL and Spanish Cup and for the last six weeks the chase for the league title doesn't exist. Come to sunny Spain and yawn your way through a Sunday afternoon.
Thats always been your major problem, holding on to the future of the club... If you get back into the big league, we might see a few more crackers come through
Thanks for ignoring my main point. So, when a struggling Chelsea side thump the 3rd best team in Spain (who finished bottom of their Champions League Group) it is over looked but when Man Utd lose to Bilbao La Liga is suddenly superior.
That's just wrong. He didn't start tonight because of his fitness issues, which prevent him from playing every game. He's first choice and it appears that Evans is ahead of both Jones and Smalling, for some reason.
