I can't possibly back Belgium in this competition as their hair collectively as a team is utter, utter bobbins. It's like the hairdresser said 'I've got loads of bleach lads, trust me it will look ace'. Twats.
There seems to be something about these nations who are historically successful. Germany and Spain played very similar games to England but came away with a win by being more clinical at both ends or just a bit more lucky perhaps. Italy who are supposedly much worse than Belgium are in the lead and have made the best chances despite perhaps having less of the play. Belgium never seem to live up to their potential - a bit like England - and it's hard to put your finger on why. Is it psychological?
nah Belgium as well as England are full of very talented individuals,........ collectively? not very good as a team.
We go on about the amazing atmosphere in other countries and that's true in some places I'm sure, but for some European countries their idea of atmosphere is just whistling constantly when the opposition has the ball. Does my tits in.
Yeah, I was thinking the same about Belgium. Seem very English - superb in the qualifiers, look underwhelming when it comes to the tournament games. They seem to be lacking a bit of cohesion. You can see they have the quality, but aren't clicking.
