    Yep the strange thing is I had the belief and rode on the crest of that wave, but when it didn’t happen there wasn’t the usual heartbreak. Just pride.

    Surely any player standing behind the wall in an attempt to block the keeper’s view, with no other English player deeper, should be flagged offside as soon as the shot comes in.

    You're not offside until you attempt to play the ball...that's why players offside often just stop moving.
