    Ronald Koeman on Twitter:

"So far, #Chile the best team! Same system as #nederlands, but with pressing forward! Impressed!"

I agree. They're excellent. Spain have been poor, but they've been made to be poor by a brilliant pressing, passing side.

I could see Chile giving Brazil a lot of problems (if they play them), they won't like being pressured all over the pitch.

In my opinion, Medel was superb. Absolutely brilliant.

Great performance from Chile. Every player so hard-working. Thought Danny Murphy was very good on commentary.

You have to admire the energy of the Chile players, they pressed and pressed all night and never gave Spain any time on the ball. Spain had 63% possession according to the BBC website but couldn't create much at all, and when they did get through on goal, they were too inept to finish it off.

You know, I didn't really believe you lot before the tournament when you went on about how good Chile were. I do now.

    They're a properly good team.

Now we know why Chile beat England so comfortably 2-0 at Wembley, last season.

A player I haven't seen mentioned in this thread yet: Mena. A whole flank to himself and no one got past him. Not once. He didn't even let a single cross in.

The way draw is sorted Chile could meet the Netherlands twice - to see who tops the group and if both progress to the semis they could meet again. Me gusta mucho Chile. It would be great if a team like this could reach the final at the expense of one of the "big" nations like Italy, Brazil, the Netherlands and even England.
