Do you think Ryan the Manager of Mendip Broadwalk could Manage England? You would say no. Because the technical and tactical levels differ so much they are differing games. Now lets do the Lionesses. The level? The experiences? Managing the Lionesses is not a parallel to Managing in mens football at a low level, let alone elite football.
and me, that's a good shout, RP; we need to get GJ into a high-powered position within the FA to get Junior in... That would boil some people's pi$$ on here. In fact, I'd rather have Red Robin than her......
Interesting suggestion. I’m not misogynistic enough to say no simply because she’s a woman. In my experience, hyper-generalising - women make ruthless managers. They are not team players at all - they don’t get ‘friendly’ with their line reports or go for a beer with them - unless on a specific event. They think nothing of chucking somebody under the bus. They don’t even like each other. They are absolutely and brutally target-focussed and will discard failing people without mercy. They also have the chivalry card - most men won’t put a female manager back in her box - she tends to be bulletproof in that respect. So maybe a female manager is exactly what our overpaid, underachieving, failing nonces need??
Lets face it Briz would beat England women. That is the level the womens game is v mens football. Thats how different the games are men to women.
international managers have the best at their disposal .. most teams even the best are probably only blessed with 20% of the best available / playing at the time for anyone
I would think that a league 2 side would beat an international women’s team tbh - but that’s because of the difference in physicality of the PLAYERS, not because of inferior management. I do NOT want Wiegman as England manager btw - but I don’t think it’s as ridiculous a suggestion to have a woman manager as some do.
They also have them for short periods of time only, rather than day to day involvement so have far less time to work on things.
Pep - apparently…. https://www.football365.com/news/en...guardiola-man-city-receives-offer-cant-refuse
Ah, the voice of a Welshman…. !!! Seriously, I genuinely think Warnock could gather a team together made up of League One and Championship players that would actually give the international tournaments a good go. Give him a team of Prem £billionaires and he would not know where to start. Internationally, Warnock would do well managing Albania or Iceland - he’s the master of the underdog. Whilst we still haven’t won anything since 1966, we are NOT perceived as underdogs.
Talking of Welshman, I found out the other day that the best England song Vindaloo sang by Keith Allen. Who was born in Llanelli
