Article in The Athletic yesterday outlining Carl Anka's team of the decade. Might have been mentioned elsewhere but reckon its worth its own thread. The 00's might not be over yet but don't think anyone will be sneaking in over the next month Anyway, his team - GK - Artur Boruc RB - Nathaniel Clyne CB - Virgil van Dijk CB - Jose Fonte LB - Luke Shaw CM - Victor Wanyama CM - Morgan Schneiderlin LF - Sadio Mane AM - Dusan Tadic RF - Adam Lallana FW - Rickie Lambert Champions League team there with all those players at their pomp I reckon! Whats yours? Any space for SKD? Bertrand? Davis?
In terms of appearances and clean sheets no one comes close to SKD. Absolute clear no. 1 in the last 10 years. Hard to argue with any of the other choices though.
Depends if you are looking at ability, contributions to the club, or just plain favourites. Tough one.
Fraser arguably had the best season of any Saints keeper of all time in 2016-17, 38 PL appearances, 19 clean sheets. I still think over the whole of their Saints careers, Kelv just edges it.
To be fair, most of those appearances and clean sheets came in the first 3 seasons of this last decade, and none of those were in the Prem. Since then he has only played 20 times whereas Boruc played 49 times over 2 seasons and Forster 106 times over 4 so think you'd have to go with one of those two (probably Forster).
