It's a done deal so all the ITK sources are saying!

@Tobes has all the full details

Maybe he will head to Everton, I doubt it and I think the clubs are too similar to justify the move but I suppose they have a new investor who seems to mean business. I won't be a happy man when Koman decides to call it a day but Southampton have been improving every year since getting to the PL and while I appreciate what Koman has done for the team and I think he is an excellent coach, but he is, at the end of the day, only a cog in a very well run club who have proven themselves to be among the best recruiters in the Pl, if not Europe. I think it is differences in recruiting policies that has resulted in Southampton now being better than liverpool, on and off the pitch.

Keep telling yourself that Saintsfan08..

The difference is you're a flash in the pan. We've proven we can stay the cause.

A player or manager get's asked 'Join Liverpool or Southampton?'

95/100 would choose Liverpool. You know that, I know that. Stan knows that. Even Koeman knows that. You simply can't compete with the big clubs, no need to pretend differently.

No doubting you do what you do very well, but no need to get all delusional buddy.

@ SF08

Eh? It's as good as done mate, seems pretty clear to me.

Find it pretty funny that a lot of Liverpool fans are laughing though despite buying £60m worth of players off us to finish below us <laugh> £35m+ for Mane please <ok>

I'm over it already to be honest. Under Liebherr ownership every managerial appointment has been a success and better than the last.

Quite excited to see who we bring in, this is the most appealing the Southampton ob has been in my lifetime! Reckon plenty of good coaches around Europe would love a crack

Remember we were ****ed when we sacked Adkins for that Argie bloke who got sacked from Espanyol who didn't speak English. Then we were ****ed when said manager left for Spurs...didn't quite turn out that way did it?

Yes mate, I can remember that day very well. I thought we were ****ed too tbh.

Maybe a flash in the pan was a bit harsh <ok>

What I mean is can you consistently finish top 8 for 50 years?? I don't think so. Good luck though.

Why do you doubt it?

Not sure what your point is here, Liverpool are a bigger club than Southampton? Well yeah that's pretty obvious...

Is that how far the mighty have fallen, enjoying lording it over lil ol' Southampton ? <laugh>

Stay the cause ? Are you serious ?

A club who thirty years ago were the pride of English football and also the most decorated side in terms of trophies etc whose fanbase now think that an eighth place finish is a good season. It's over mate.

He reckons they're better than us on and off the pitch?

Off the pitch as in finances?

Nah.

On the pitch the £150m they've Spunked had won them what?

We could afford the £300m Dalglish and Rodgers spent on mostly average players, but 4 cup finals(1 win) and a 2nd place finish is piss poor for the outlay but its better than celebrating finishing above us for a couple of season's at the cost of £150m I suppose.

Saints' owner is worth over £3billion and to be fair the money they've spent recently has largely been donated by Liverpool (to finish above Liverpool).

Saints were a mess when they first got promoted and were breaking goals conceded records left right and center. the 150 million (ish) spent over the course of four seasons has resulted in an incremental improvement in final pl position and we now sit 6th, hardly money spunked away, yes we haven't won any trophies but we have made remarkable progress.

You, on the other hand, while calling saints out as a small club are listing finals and second place finishes as a good outcome from a monstrous investment, never mind the series of embarrassing midtable finishes which also occurred over the course of this outlay which is 3/4 times what saints have spent since they got to pl.

Recently they've spent Liverpool's money to finish above Liverpool despite having a richer owner. That's funny, right?

Yes. I wouldn't go bringing it up on the Liverpool board though, not renowned for the humour on that part of the site.

Tbf I've always praised saints on their "rise from the ashes", new ground, great style of play etc but you obviously skimmed over the part I said our return for £300m was " piss poor"

I can't get my head around your hate for LFC for Rodgers buying a couple or 3 of your clubs players that wanted to leave for overinflated fees yet other clubs have bought players from Saints and taken what looks like now a couple of your managers.

But whatever rocks your boat mate.<ok>
