Thanks SB3 for the congrats.........Kingsland and I tend to be in the back ground as far as the moderation goes. The term seen but not heard comes to mind. So far the visitors to the site have been fair and obliging. Speaking as we do to your own mods it seems that everyone seems to be enjoying the new site and to a degree not trying to stir people up. I think that this is a tremendous improvement on the last site and is welcomed by all that visit. We as mods will do all that is necessary to keep it that way, with the help of all it will be achieved.
I trust we can still enjoy some good banter, I expect you may be quite busy though when our derby's are upon us!
Good harmless banter is good for the soul. The skill is keeping banter as banter and wind ups out of the equation. So skill is required both ways. From the author of the banter and the recipient. To be honest I am wondering how many will put certain people on their ignor list and by doing so actually fill up the server........ Remember the site is self regulated to a point, if the majority say no then we the mods have to act, whether we agree or not. To be honest I do not think there will be any major problems from either side. Strangely for now all sides seem to want the same. Don't you agree.....do you not think the site has improved immensly? Do you not agree we have had some good debates and discussions with out hassle? I can't speak for the pompey board but we have had some good open discussions over here. Anyway here's to the future.......
Just wanted to join in 606, been reading it for a few weeks...am Saints fan since 1953...but feel as proud today as I can remember (OK memories fading)...was at Plymouth and thought our fans were magnificent (sorry sounding like NA)....so thanks to you all for keeping me amused for some time...keep looking at the league table for that feelgood factor...cant make Walsall game but I'll be with you in spirit...for me the best fans and club ever. Good luck for tomorrow...really enjoy yourselves! Milton
Welcome to NOT606! Look forward to seeing more posts from you on our board! Any problems drop me or Beddytare a message as we are Mods and here to help with any problems.
Thanks Kingsland, I know you and Beddy are mods.....not exactly how that works...but I think you two do a good job because I think this site is healthier than the old BBC 606...I guess that may change with promotion...anyway back to today...have a great day out.
KingslandSFC is proper chuffed... * MY HOME TEAM "WALSALL" LOST - However...WE ARE STAYING UP , WE ARE STAYING UP! * MY LOCAL TEAM "SAINTS" ARE NOW IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP!! What a bloody great day .... I have never experienced a atmosphere like I have done today! Bloody brilliant!! POMPEY HERE WE COME , POMPEY POMPEY HERE WE COME!!
Agreed about the Walsall keeper - he was their man of the match in my opinion. The two, quick succession saves in the second half were quality. It was very odd how the league table ended up. For several weeks, especially through-out March, it looked like any of the teams in the play-off positions would go up. Bournemouth belatedly imploded after the departure of Howe and one by one, the competition drift away to leave Saints and Huddersfield battling for second. Brighton remained so far ahead that no-one seemed concerned about them. As things turned out, we managed to pull away from Huddersfield by five clear points and with a massive goal difference. Ultimayely, Brighton's run of poor form having picked up the title saw us finish within three points of the leaders. Odd that the final table does not reflect how exciting and tense this season was. Wondered if anyone else agrees with me that with a couple of more games, we could have over-hauled Brighton and snatched the title ourselves? I think Brighton will stuggle next season and, if things stay as they are at Fratton Road, could be joined in the bottom three by Portsmouth. It will be interesting to see if the Russian buy-out goes ahead as muted in today's Sunday Express. It Cotterill is allowed to spend on the talent he has ear-marked, I think it will make 2011/12 interesting. I would prefer it if they suffered for one more season! Big thumbs up to the Walsall fans yesterday who definately contributed to the atmosphere.
If Brighton had lost a few points after promotion I would have said it was the 'promotion effect', but they only gained 2 points from 4 games. We just needed one or two more games and I reckon we would have overtaken them, but if wishes were horses beggars would ride (Hey, Nigel, that's one saying you missed out on). Let's not be so slow starting next season, please.

Well sad about it, It is one of the worst feelings just behind relegation missing out on goal difference.
