I shall have to look out for that when I download the match. Love those little details. If anyone wants it: http://www.footballorgin.net/2015/04/premier-league-2014-2015-southampton-v.html
I thought he was referring to the Spurs support loving him [at last]. At least, that's what he says in his Beeb interview. I know it's almost unfathomable what he says, but it is Spurs he's talking about.
Totally unfair on Yoshida. He played a good game but came off second best in that contest. Love his honesty but he could have said Kelv had a good chance at saving that and Steven Davis should have scored twice. All equally valid, nothing changes the outcome. I've grown to like Yoishida.
Just watching the extended highlights on the OS Player, and they don't mention the handball at all, on it, you have to feel for Steven Davis, he had four clear chances, two were schoolboy errors by not looking at the ball when shooting, one he seemed to be distracted by an orange balloon that bounced into his vision, the other was a total fluff, any one of those would have made the difference so you would be harsh to blame Maya for his one error, as he said he was left marking Kane and Chadli, chose the wrong option, and even then could have brought Chadli down, but he isn't that kind of player. We were seemingly denied a good penalty shout and Fazio by all accounts was lucky not see a red. Hindsight is easy after the game though! Never mind, it was a good game to watch, the major difference was in the finishing in the end.
Well it was handball after all. Everybody but the TV replay missed it. There's a case for video technology right there because in the dim distant past a player would almost certainly own up. Nobody will these days so they need to be caught in the act.
I have only seen the one replay and although it hit his arm, I am not sure it was clear cut handball. He didn't appear to flick it in with his arm.
Go here: http://www.footballorgin.net/2015/04/premier-league-2014-2015-southampton-v.html The match starts about 7 minutes into the video. Lamela scores after 43 minutes of the game. There you go, you'll find it.
It is down to personal opinion I think, I am obviously biased, but as I said the player kissed the part of the arm that the ball went in off, was it intentional? At that speed, difficult to say. Can't reverse it now so have to accept the outcome and just rue the missed chances that would have made it irrelevant!
