I think he has been working more in the gym this year, bulking up a little which will I guess also come with age. I think that along with a change of aggression attitude has helped him lots. I haven't always been his biggest fan, mainly as he was more of a utility player for my liking, but he seems to know what is required of him, which is likely down to Ralph, so credit there also I'm going to love Ralph as much as Laces soon
The last time we played your lot it took a Stuart Armstrong mistake in the last couple of minutes to gift Harry Kane an equaliser. I`m sure Stu and Danny could come to `an arrangement` !
Yeah, I think the difference between JWP now and JWP and the start of the season is mainly just that he's actually getting to defenders in time to put in hard tackle. When you're getting to players a half second late, that same tackle would be a red card. Better positioning all around is bringing out the teeth in our midfield and defense.
We did actually make quite a few mistakes yesterday. Misplaced passes etc. But what set it apart from so many of other games earlier this season, is how determined all 11 players were to constantly make up for the mistakes. If someone gave the ball away, two others hunted it back down for us etc. It was a world away from, make a mistake, concede a goal. Other than the result, it's what impressed me most about yesterday.
@Susan I know when you started this in December, you never in a million years expected to be going in January but YOUR CLUB NEEDS YOU.
